VIDEOGRAPHER

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Produce, edit, and distribute media content as required to advance the interests of HAI’s members.  Media content includes: photographs, motion pictures, motion graphics, animation, audio, and music.
  • Script-writing, story-boarding, scheduling, casting, pre-production meetings, disc authoring, travel, interviews, and collaborating with members and affiliate organizations.
  • Development of media projects with members and committees as well as content sharing with third parties, like the FAA.  Content sharing includes the dissemination of proprietary photographs, video, and audio which advance third party projects that are aligned with HAI's Mission Statement.
  • Oversee the distribution of media products in appropriate format on www.rotor.com and in tapes and DVDs.
  • Design and program interactive DVD menus, burn master discs, and place orders with a third-party replication facility, overseeing progress of order, reviewing artwork proofs, and managing to completion.
  • Electronically document meetings, events, and activities at HAI and HAI Member functions including HELI-EXPO, HFI outreach and fundraising efforts, IHST meetings, and the annual HAI Board of Directors Meeting. 
  • Photograph new staff and board members for www.rotor.com and the Helicopter Annual. 
  •  Prepare video segments for the Salute to Excellence Awards Banquet including the Award Winner video, Memorial Tribute, and Year in Review.
  • Assist the Director of Communications & Public Relations as necessary
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
  • Five or more years of related background and training
  • Previous experience with helicopter or other aviation-related organization preferred
  • Previous association or not-for-profit experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge and skills relating to the latest applicable software and technology
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to travel
