FLIGHTSAFETY TO OPEN AIRLINE LEARNING CENTER IN JOHANNESBURG
FLIGHTSAFETY TO OPEN AIRLINE LEARNING CENTER IN JOHANNESBURG

FlightSafety International announces that it will open a new airline Learning Center in Johannesburg, South Africa.

“Establishing this new Learning Center in South Africa demonstrates our ability and commitment to serve and support the growing number of companies and organizations in Africa, the Middle East and India that value and rely on FlightSafety’s high quality training services and simulation equipment,” said Bruce Whitman, President & CEO.

Training is scheduled to begin at the Learning Center in March 2010. The first simulators to be installed will be used in the training of pilots and maintenance technicians who operate and support Hawker Beechcraft 1900 and Bombardier Dash 8-100 and Q300 aircraft.

FlightSafety will provide the training services, flight simulators and marketing. SIM AeroTraining of France will manage the facility and maintain the training devices.

“Opening a Learning Center in Johannesburg in conjunction with FlightSafety will help to enhance aviation safety in the region and to reinforce Sim AeroTraining’s position as a leader in aviation training,” said Eric Renault, General Manager & CEO, SIM AeroTraining.

FlightSafety also provides professional training services for aircraft operators in the region at its Learning Centers in Paris, France and at the London Farnborough airport in the United Kingdom.

FlightSafety has designed and manufactured close to 100 simulators used in the training of pilots, aircraft maintenance technicians and other aviation professionals who operate and support regional aircraft manufactured by ATR, Bombardier, Embraer, Fairchild, Jetstream, Hawker Beechcraft and Saab.
These simulators are located at FlightSafety Learning Centers and at numerous customer owned and operated facilities located in Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim, Europe, the Middle East and in North and South America.
