Press/Media 

Journalists employed by accredited news organizations and attending for the purpose of editorial coverage can receive a complimentary press badge for entry into the exhibit hall. Press badges will be granted to reporters from the following types of news media:

• Newspapers, weeklies, magazines
• Broadcast news outlets
• Aviation trade news outlets
• Web site news outlets
• Accredited aviation freelance writers 

Reporters and writers must provide media credentials to receive a complimentary press badge. A maximum of three (3) individuals per news organization will be permitted to register as press.

Journalists must provide:

• Media identification (such as an international accredited press pass) issued by a recognized news organization
• Business card clearly stating affiliation and position with the above-mentioned types of news organizations (i.e., editor, publisher, writer, reporter, producer, etc.), and
• A letter on official letterhead from the editor of a publication or Web site or producer of a broadcast program vertifying the person’s affiliation and verifying the assignment to cover HELI-EXPO^®.
   

Freelance writers must provide:

• Photo identification
• Copies of bylined aviation-related articles, and
• An official letter of assignment from an accredited news organization.

Press badges will NOT be issued to the following representatives:

• Advertising sales representatives of publications
• Spouses and other guests of journalists
• Advertising, marketing or public relations representatives from exhibitor companies or agencies
• Representatives of organizations selling or producing publications, video, audio tapes or Web sites intended for marketing, advertising and public relations purposes
• Organizations whose main objective is to promote their products or services (i.e., marketing, advertising, financial analysis, or public relations/advertising firms)  

Individuals that violate HAI Press Room policies will immediately forfeit their press badges to this and subsequent events. Violations include:

• Selling, marketing or representing a company for the purpose of obtaining advertising or subscriptions from any registrant or exhibitor
• Misrepresentation to secure press badges to attend HELI-EXPO^®
• Product promotion that implies HAI or HELI-EXPO^® endorsement
• Usage of HAI logo without the express written consent of HAI.

Registration

Journalists can register online from Oct. 1, 2011, and then pick up press badges on site at the HAI Press Room. Press badges will NOT be mailed. During check in, journalists must provide their press credentials as stated. Journalists may also register on site at the HAI Press Room during Press Room open hours.

On-Site Press Room

The HELI-EXPO^® Press Room will be used as a coordination point for exhibitors and media relations during the exposition. Exhibitors will post special event notices, distribute press releases and display literature in the Press Room throughout the exposition. A complete schedule of press conferences will be posted in the Press Room.
