Understanding TFRs and NextGen
Tuesday, March 5 | | 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, Room N255
Flight Operations Track
This session is a basic course for understanding temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) and a brief description of what the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) NextGen holds for the helicopter community.
The presentation will explain the TFR process so that participants will understand what a TFR is, who can request a TFR, and what the FAA is doing about TFRs that do not meet TFR requirements. The session will also present basic information on what NextGen holds for the helicopter community at large and preview the new technology and procedures that are forthcoming.
