The Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA),  the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI – LEEDA) and the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA) this week endorsed the guidelines drafted by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) for the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The guidelines provide law enforcement agencies an outline of how to use UAS safely and responsibly, and with respect to individuals’ privacy.

On Aug. 30, 2012, Eurocopter Canada Limited (ECL) completed its 300th cowling for the EC145 at its composite manufacturing facility in Fort Erie, Ont. “We are very proud of the hard work and dedication displayed by our composites team,” said Guy Joannes, President and CEO, ECL.

Wales (walesonline.co.uk) - South Wales Police Inspector Gary Smart revealed what the real flying squad does best. "The helicopter is very effective at finding missing people as it has thermal image cameras that can see at very long range.
