On February 23rd, just before the beginning of HELI-EXPO 2013, HAI and the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) conducted a safety Seminar in Torrence, California. The agenda included talks on the medical aspects of aviation, helicopter performance, local area routes, rules and special regulations, as well as maintenance issues and laser strike avoidance.

Stan Rose, HAI's director of safety outreach programs, was pleased to introduce T.C. Corell of Southern California Edison Co. and HAI board member, who spoke about the hazards associated with the wire environment.
We would like to extend our special thanks to the Robinson Helicopter Company for allowing us to use their training room for the event. More than 90 participants enjoyed the hospitality and were rewarded with a fantastic aviation safety education opportunity.
