Columbus, Neb. (journaldemocrat.com) - While tree trimming and removal have always been part of Nebraska Public Power District’s operations, patrols of over 4,300 miles of high-voltage transmission lines are conducted annually across the state to identify and eliminate potential hazards. The patrols, done by helicopter or on foot, include trimming and removal of trees within the power line right-of-way.
