Alexandria, Va. - It has come to our attention that several unaffiliated wholesale hotel/travel groups have been soliciting HAI HELI-EXPO participants, offering hotel accommodations for HAI HELI-EXPO 2015. These unofficial companies may be offering wholesale or discounted hotel pricing. Neither HAI nor Connections Housing, the only official HAI HELI-EXPO housing bureau, can verify the authenticity of such companies or their representations, and will not be able to provide a resolution to issues related to such reservations.

Past HAI chairman and former PHI vice president and chief pilot Vernon E. Albert passed away on September 11 after a long battle with cancer. He was 72. Albert served as chairman of the HAI Board of Directors from July 1, 1988 until June 30, 1989. He had also served as the board’s treasurer and vice chairman. He served as a member of the board of directors for two three-year terms. He was the 1994 recipient of the Lawrence D. Bell Memorial Award, recognizing excellence in management leadership.

As director of conventions, Zilke is responsible for the overall preparation, coordination, and execution of all aspects of the association’s annual trade show and exposition, HAI HELI-EXPO®, the world’s largest trade show and exposition dedicated solely to the vertical lift industry.
