Near Idanha, Ore. (katu.com) – A man who appeared on the History Channel reality show "Ax Men" was killed Sept. 16 after a helicopter crashed in a remote area near Idanha, which is on Highway 22 southeast of Salem.

West Palm Beach, Fla. (Huffington Post) - Two Bahamian men left for some fishing and ended up floating on the hull of their capsized 20-foot boat - for eight days. The men were individually hoisted into a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter using a rescue basket and flown to Delray Medical Center to be treated for dehydration and hypothermia.

StandardAero announced that Russell Ford has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Ford joins StandardAero from Precision Castparts Corporation, where he recently served as President of Carlton Forge Works and Dickson Test Group of the Forged Products Division. Ford begins his new role on October 15.
