Hartford, Conn. (WFSB) - A Connecticut veteran is in the business of saving lives. Senior pilot, Richard Magner of Glastonbury says he is at home when he is flying the Life Star medical helicopter around Connecticut. Magner flew the very first life star flight from Hartford Hospital 28 years ago and at the age of 67, he's still going strong.

San Francisco, Calif. (Sacramento Business Journal) - Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) recently launched a supplemental safety program in the Bay Area: daily helicopter flights with trained spotters flying 500 feet above 106 miles of gas transmission pipeline from San Francisco to San Jose. PG&E is completing a special program of helicopter flyovers in the San Francisco area as part of the company's focus on preventing gas dig-ins throughout the service territory.
