Yorkshire, England (airmedandrescue.com) - Six-year-old Ebony Meek was knocked down on her way to school earlier this year. She was flown to Leeds General Infirmary on a Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter. Although Ebony has no memory of the accident, she was determined to meet and thank all those who helped on the day.

As reported earlier this week, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) is moving major energy legislation through the U.S. Senate. In addition to the Energy Policy Modernization Act that she is cosponsoring with Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), Murkowski has announced a separate bill that will move before the August break that would combine her plan to lift the 40-year-old ban on crude oil exports with an expansion of offshore drilling and revenue sharing for Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico, and parts of the Atlantic Coast.
