Houston, Texas - Jeremy Akel has been named Senior Vice President of Global Operations for Bristow Group Inc., one of the world's largest providers of helicopter services. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the company's operations and maintaining excellence in safety and service.
Akel joined the Bristow management team in 2004 initially in business development and transitioned to operations leadership in 2006. Most recently he served as the Director of the Other International Business Unit (OIBU). Prior to Bristow, Akel was an aviation business consultant specializing in transaction advisory and corporate restructuring projects for his firms' clients.
Akel began his career in 1991 as an accident investigator at the National Transportation Safety Board where he specialized in aircraft performance. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
