Aviation user fees will come under scrutiny at a hearing scheduled for Sept. 12 by the U.S. House of Representatives Small Business Committee.
Participants in the hearing, entitled “User Fees in the Aviation Industry: Turbulence Ahead,” will discuss the financial and regulatory ramifications of user fee proposals, such as President Obama’s proposal for a $100-per-flight air traffic control charge. The hearing will also look at the potential effect user fees would have on job creation.
Several members of the GA community, including Epps Aviation CFO Marian Epps and King Schools co-owner Martha King are scheduled to testify.
