Hillsboro Aviation Hires Director of Sales and Services


Hillsboro Aviation is pleased to announce the addition of Giancarlo Newsome to its senior management team. Giancarlo has taken on the role of Director of Sales and Services overseeing Hillsboro Aviation’s airplane and helicopter sales, customer maintenance, avionics, parts sales and FBO service departments. As the head of Hillsboro Aviation’s sales and services division, Giancarlo will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s growth and expansion in these areas.

Giancarlo brings a variety of aviation and business experience to Hillsboro Aviation. With a passion for aviation seeded in his early youth, Giancarlo joined the military reserves at the age of 17 to become a Cobra crew chief. He completed his military career commanding a UH60 Blackhawk unit. After college, Giancarlo had the privilege of selling helicopters for Bell Helicopter. Leveraging his international background, Giancarlo led a variety of international as well as domestic sales campaigns for Bell. Giancarlo has served in senior management positions for a variety of entrepreneurial business pursuits. From firstof- type glass cockpit installations for Robinson helicopters to predictive maintenance software that preemptively improves aircraft availability, cost and safety, Giancarlo has stayed on the leading edge of the aviation industry.

Giancarlo holds a marketing degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Dallas. He is a commercial, instrument-rated helicopter pilot with experience flying the Bell JetRanger, Bell AH-1 Cobra and Sikorsky UH60 Blackhawk. Giancarlo speaks multiple languages, including English, Italian and Portuguese.

This division of the company carries some important distinctions such as being the only U.S. Independent Representative for Bell Helicopter and the exclusive northwestern U.S. dealer for Cessna single-engine piston airplanes.

Hillsboro Aviation is also an FAA Repair Station and a factory-authorized service center for Bell and Robinson helicopters, Cessna single-engine airplanes and Cessna Caravan. Additionally, the company offers avionics sales and custom installations as well as parts sales. Hillsboro Aviation represents over 30 of the industry’s leading manufacturers so the company is well prepared to meet customers’ needs.
