L.J. Walch Announces Distribution Agreement with Ontic


Livermore, Calif. - L.J. Walch Co., Inc. announce its exclusive distribution agreement with Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. of Chatsworth, California.

L.J. Walch has been selected by Ontic as the exclusive distributor for the Sikorsky S61 Motor Generator (Part Number: 30E20-97A). L.J. Walch Co. was chosen for its reputation for quality, as well as knowledge of the product. Since the 1970’s, L.J. Walch Co., Inc. has been providing repair and overhaul service for this Motor Generator and will continue to do so going forward. In addition to service, the agreement with Ontic will enable L.J. Walch to provide new manufactured LRU Motor Generators to the marketplace. These new units will be manufactured by Ontic using the original Bendix design, the rights to which were acquired from Honeywell in 1999.

L.J. Walch Co. Sales Manager, Bill Luty says “We strive to provide S61 operators with the support they require to stay in the air. Ontic is a company that recognizes the importance of supporting these operators and we are pleased that they have decided to utilize our experience with the helicopter and the people who fly them”.

Mr. Luty states that in addition to providing parts and service, the relation will reopen the availability of Factory New units. These units will be manufactured by Ontic using the same specifications, drawings, tooling and test equipment as the original design.

“This is a huge step forward in the support of the S61 helicopter.” says Luty, “We are honored and excited to be a part of it”.
