On August 16, 2012, the FAA qualified and approved Potomac Flight Training, LLC’s Twin Turbine Helicopter (TTH-1) simulator as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD).
The full motion, visual simulator built by Fidelity Flight Simulation of Pittsburg, PA is designed as an EC-135 and is approved as a Helicopter Advanced ATD. It is authorized for use in satisfying tasks, maneuvers and procedures under FAA Part 61 and 141 including; logged flight experience, recent flight experience: instrument, and Instrument Proficiency Check. Some hours logged in the device can be used towards Private, Commercial, Airline Transport Pilot Certificates and Multiengine Class Ratings.
