Hilton Head Island, S.C. — Building on its nearly decade-long tradition of assisting flight operations in developing specific and targeted SMS programs, Baldwin Aviation, Inc. (BAI) has recently launched SAVVY©, which utilizes next generation technologies to meet safety and compliance requirements. SAVVY ensures that the solutions will be the most tailored, yet compliant available.
“SAVVY represents a significant upgrade in traceability and electronic data submission for flight operations seeking to maintain currency and compliance,” said Don Baldwin, Chief Executive Officer of Baldwin Aviation. “It features even more cloud integration for increased security, performance and scalability - at no added cost to the client.” SAVVY will be featured this year at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) in Seattle Oct 22-24 (Booth #1615) and, a week later at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Annual Convention in Orlando Oct 30 – Nov 1st (Booth #1066).
At NBAA, BAI will also be recognized as the first ever recipient of a Support Services Affiliate (SSA) Certificate awarded by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) during the IS-BAO Process, Gold Standard Session at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30 in Room S322 of the Orange County Convention Center. Baldwin is the initial organization qualified by IBAC to provide Safety Management System (SMS) implementation, maintenance and tracking services; and to develop and maintain policies, standards and procedures for operators of business aircraft.
IBAC created the new category to qualify SMS implementers in September, 2012 to more specifically define aviation support organizations capable of providing service support to business aircraft operators. In citing Baldwin Aviation as the first SSA, IBAC stated that recipients of its certification “undertake to ensure that they will adhere to current IS-BAO standards and procedures, and comply with applicable support services affiliates’ policies posted on the IBAC website.” IS-BAO is a code of best practices which essentially structures ISO 9000 principles to apply to aviation safety.
