FlightSafety International is pleased to announce the release of its eLearning 2012/2013 Cold Weather Operations Course, which is now iPad compatible.

“We are pleased to offer a new iPad compatible Cold Weather Operations course,” said Ariel Landau, eLearning Operations Manager. “The course has been updated on an annual basis since it was first introduced six years ago. A rapidly increasing number of flight department personnel take the course year after year to ensure they remain current and fully understand the concepts, procedures and guidelines that govern safe operations within a cold weather environment.”

This interactive, rich media course can be taken either from a personal computer or an Apple iPad. A learning management system (LMS) tracks progress, so that if a learner begins the course on a PC, they can later log into the course with an iPad and continue from their last slide.
“Our eLearning Apple iPad initiative was undertaken in response to increased Customer demand for additional training products for their mobile devices,” said Landau.

The two-hour 2012/2013 version covers: Ground Icing, In-flight Icing, Deicing and Anti-icing, including 2012/13 Holdover Time Tables, Runway Visibility, and Contamination.

Since its inception in 2006, FlightSafety’s eLearning Operation has been producing high-quality courseware for the aviation market, doubling its growth since 2009. The company offers a wide variety of self-paced eLearning courses over the internet. Recent additions include Safety Management Systems for Aviation Professionals, Corporate Aviation Security, Crew Emergency Training, Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 training, Controller Pilot Datalink Communications (CPDLC), Gulfstream GV Recurrent, and Air Medical Resource Management. Courses can be purchased as a stand-alone course, or as part of our Enrichment or IS-BAO Libraries. Learners who successfully complete an eLearning course can access and print their Records of Training through myFlightSafety.com.
