Alexandria, Va. – This is the weekend that most of the United States switches back from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time. The change occurs at 2:00 a.m. local time on Nov. 4 (Saturday night into Sunday). Set your clocks one hour earlier (adding one hour to the length of the night).
As a practical flight planning matter, because Zulu Time does not change, U.S. Eastern Time reverts to Zulu-5 hours, Central becomes Zulu-6, Mountain becomes Zulu-7 and Pacific Standard Time will be Zulu 8. Alaska Time will revert to Zulu-9. The Hawaii-Aleutian Time Zone does not observe Daylight Saving Time and will remain Zulu-10.
