Manager of Education Programs

Position: Manager of Education Programs
Department: Operations Department
Reports to: Vice President of Operations
Status: Full Time, Exempt

Overview: The Manager of Education Programs is responsible for all aspects of the association’s educational courses and works with other HAI staff to ensure that the programs are in alignment with HAI’s mission, purpose, and industry initiatives.

Essential Functions of the Position Include, but Are Not Limited To:

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring HAI’s professional education sessions throughout the year and during the association’s annual tradeshow and convention, HELI-EXPO®
  • Focusing on the expansion of HAI’s on-line educational courses
  • Conducting advertising and marketing initiatives to promote HAI’s Educational Programs
  • Ensuring all courses and technical briefings receive FAA approval for licensing or re-certification
  • Managing all aspects of the Rotor Safety Challenge, HAI’s free safety education sessions
  • Coordinating between HAI members to arrange the Manufacturer’s Technical Briefings at HELI-EXPO
  • Providing support for HAI’s on-line, helicopter-specific, Flight Instructor Refresher Course (FIRC)
  • Partnering with similar aviation organizations to coordinate joint educational programs at other industry-related trade shows
  • Contributing education-related content for use in HAI’s printed and electronic publications
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications and Requirements for the Position:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four years related work experience
  • Prior association or aviation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self motivated; able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to travel if necessary
